l Watch Me
l Note Me
Somehow I felt like it was time to make a change. No, that's not quite true, not really. What I felt was that it was time to let changes ripple through the water of what I do here.
With a change of season a couple days ago and the fullness of tonight's brighter-than-many moons, the new play of all this light in a new city seemed to call out for a new moniker.
'verdeviento' was a reference to a poem by Garcia Lorca called 'Romance sonámbulo.' They're the first words of the poem mashed together. It also had the letter V, which is one of my favorites, besides the letter Z of course. It meant 'green wind' and while I love green there was always something funny to me about that meaning itself—though I liked the sound of it. It's a classic poetic dilemma I guess.
In any case, it was an obscure reference and more likely to produce bemusement than clarity or a simple sense of what my endeavor here would be about.
'nothingcouldfall' may be a bit long, but it has the merit of coming from a song I quite like and an inspiring passionate moment in the lyrics of that song that for me at least convey where creation originates—outside and apart from any doubt and in a boundless feeling that everything is possible.
That for me seems like a good place to begin and it says something about how I feel personally when I'm making anything new—so it fulfills what I'm looking for, for a while at least.
Alright, thanks for reading and Happy Summer moon everyone!
May you all have such beautiful days ahead, if not tonight or tomorrow, then sooner than you imagine.
(ps for my watchers, I apologize I had uploaded a handful of new photos then deleted them. They just felt too much like a long summer slideshow... I'll pick the best pair in a couple days and put these up)
